The Tang Dynasty X'ian is a premier cultural entertainment theater and restaurant. Founded in 1988, it combines catering and a Tang Dynasty style song and dance show to provide a Chinese cultural experience for the visitors to X'ian. It is really one of the top evening cultural entertainments for international tourists. The X'ian Tang Dynasty superb song and dance performance and its unique cuisine has earned itself lavish praise from local and visitors. It is really a must visit place if you come to X'ian..!!

Great multi-course Chinese dinner and show. Dinner is optional. Went there with the wife to celebrate an anniversary. The show didn't disappoint.

What great show with wonderful atmosphere. The show includes a meal. This show has a number of traditional dances and music of China.

Amazing atmosphere, the dining area/theatre was of a large scale. The food was average at best and different if you're used to authentic Cantonese dim sums you get in Chinatown. But the show was where most people are amazed at. Live music, live show, variety of storyline. Entertaining and worthwhile to watch. The performers were professional and you can see the dedication to the arts in some performers. One lady smiled all the way through, even when she was no longer playing and just on stage waiting for the next musical piece, she held her smile and gracefully waited. Felt a bit tired for her but that's textbook performer grace so kudos to her for the dedication to the art. The show is a bit stereotypical, so a Chinese audience may not find it interesting but for anyone who's not overly familiar with Chinese culture it should be a very entertaining and culturally rich experience/show.

Watching the performance at the Tang Dynasty Theatre was like stepping into a piece of living history. The highlight of the evening was an exquisite dance performance featuring Empress Wu Zetian, capturing the elegance and grandeur of the Tang Dynasty. The performers were captivating, dressed in vibrant, intricate costumes that seemed to shimmer under the stage lights. Every move was graceful, evoking the poise and power of Empress Wu Zetian, one of China’s most iconic rulers. Adding to the experience was the dumpling buffet served throughout the evening. Each bite was delicious, with a variety of flavors that complemented the theatrical atmosphere perfectly. It was a unique experience, blending rich cultural heritage with culinary delights, and a must for anyone visiting who wants a taste of Tang Dynasty opulence.

Really fantastic. We just happened upon this place while walking by during the day, and decided to get tickets for dinner and show that evening. (The reservation staff has sufficient English to make this easy for American visitors.) The dumpling dinner had an amazing variety of offerings; everyone was delighted. The show was stunning; no mid-class dinner theater offering at all; this is a high-quality professional live song and dance show, with live orchestra. The lights and staging were super high-quality.
